The Mythical E.N.2 Chaves - Faro

Of all the roads in Portugal, there is one with a mystique and something legendary that distinguishes it from the others, Estrada Nacional no. 2. Distinguished by several national and international publications as one of the best destinations in the world, the EN2, or “ Route 66 Portuguesa”, is the longest national road in Portugal and the only one that crosses the country from end to end. Designed as a connection between Chaves and Faro, along its 738 km, a dizzying route through the backbone of the country, it crosses 36 municipalities, passing through the interior of the towns and uniting landscapes as different as the Douro vineyards, the Alentejo plains or the Algarve beaches .
